The establishment of these and future subsidiaries is in line with the vision of the company to both provide third-party contracting services to oil, gas, and power sector companies as well as to own and operate oil, gas, power, ports, and public infrastructure assets in Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, and Mozambique.
Indeed, plans are underway to establish an Investment Management subsidiary that will be charged with warehousing and managing the company’s strategic investments in such assets.
The company has a long-standing philosophy of leveraging strategic alliances to rapidly acquire capacity, eliminate entry barriers in its core service areas, and further deepen the scope of third-party contracting services offered by the company.
Aside from the value derived by Index Brook Limited from the third-party contracting activities of its subsidiaries, there is a greater, even more strategic role the subsidiaries will be expected to play in providing the holding company an entry strategy in securing infrastructure asset development opportunities through the Investment Management subsidiary.
Index Brook Limited’s business philosophy is designed to balance out the risks to its shareholders and mitigate the effects of competition on its third-party contracting businesses.

Mr. Oluwatoyin Abayomi Akomolafe (Executive Chairman)
Mr. Oluwatoyin Akomolafe is the Executive Chairman of Index Brook Limited. A 1976 graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, Mr. Akomolafe has devoted much of his career to the growing and nurturing of Index Brook Limited, a group of companies set up to achieve his vision of establishing an integrated oil and gas company with the capability of operating in each of the segments of the oil and gas value chain.
Under Mr. Akomolafe’s guidance, Index Brook Limited grew to become the most widely recognized and successful business consultancy service providers in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, contributing to the establishment and the rapid growth in the market shares of blue-chip companies such as Globestar, Acergy, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Ocean Energy, Devon Oil, Anardako, Subsea 7, etc.
Under his leadership, Index Brook further broadened its focus with the establishment of Pasadena Exploration and Production Company Limited to pursue exploration and production interests in Nigeria and West Africa.
In recognition of the rapidly changing dynamics of operating and oil and gas service businesses in Nigeria, Mr. Akomolafe initiated further changes in the company’s service delivery scope, positioning the company to now render operations and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
